worn items made from the blue fabric. His extensive collection now comprises 14,000 pairs of trousers and jackets from a wide variety of brands. Particular attention is paid to the fading, the signs of wear and tear, which become more pronounced the more intensively the textiles are worn. Ruedi Karrer presents his exuberant collection in his private “Jeansmuseum Of Heaviest Fadings” in Zurich. As “@swissjeansfreak,” he is connected to a worldwide denim community via social media.

Selected pieces from Ruedi Karrer’s collection and their exciting stories will be presented at the Levi Strauss Museum in Buttenheim from July 31 to September 16, 2025.
